App Development

Web & Mobile Apps
for Your Customers and Your Crew.

Web applications, progressive web apps, and mobile-friendly internal tools. Here's the plain truth up front: most business apps are best built as web apps or PWAs — they cost less, update instantly, and run on every device. We build native only when the project genuinely needs it, and we'll tell you which one yours is.

01

What We Build

Apps that solve a specific problem for specific people — your customers, your office, or your crew in the field. Examples are in our work section, and you can ask for a live walkthrough of anything we've built.

Talk Through an App Idea →

Web Applications

For work that happens in a browser: quoting, ordering, tracking, managing. A web app runs on any device with no install, updates the moment we ship, and never waits in an app-store queue. This is the right shape for most business software.

Progressive Web Apps

For when you want the app feel without the app store. A PWA installs to the home screen, opens full-screen like a native app, and can work with a weak connection — no app store, no review delays, no developer-account fees. One build covers iPhone, Android, and desktop.

Customer-Facing Apps

For the customers who call to ask where things stand. An app where they book, pay, check status, and see documents — so the phone rings less and the experience feels like a company that has its act together.

Employee & Field Tools

For crews working off paper tickets and text messages. A mobile-friendly tool for job details, photos, checklists, signatures, and time — built for gloves, sunlight, and spotty rural signal, not for a desk.

Cross-Platform Apps

For the cases where native is genuinely warranted — deep hardware access, heavy offline use, or an app-store presence your market expects. One codebase ships to both iOS and Android, so you're not paying for two separate builds.

02

The Decisions That Matter

A handful of early choices drive most of an app's cost, timeline, and day-to-day usefulness. We walk through each one with you in plain terms before anything gets built.

Authentication & user roles

Who logs in, and what can they see? Customers, office staff, and field crews usually need different views of the same data. Getting roles right early is cheap; bolting them on later is not.

Web vs. PWA vs. native

The trade-offs are real: native costs more to build and maintain, every update waits on app-store review, and you pay Apple and Google's developer fees. Web and PWA update instantly and run everywhere. Native earns its cost only when you need what only native can do.

Notifications

Web push now works on Android, desktop, and — with limits — on iPhone, where the PWA must be installed to the home screen first. Native notifications are the most reliable. If notifications are central to your app, this alone can decide the platform, so we settle it early.

Offline needs and limits

PWAs can cache screens and queue submissions until signal returns — enough for most field work. Full offline with large data sets and sync-conflict handling is a genuinely harder problem that pushes toward native. We'll tell you which side of that line your app is on.

Deployment

Web apps deploy to hosting you own and update in minutes. App-store apps go through Apple and Google review — typically days, sometimes weeks — and both companies charge developer-account fees. Those timelines and fees are theirs, not ours, and we plan around them from the start.

03

Ownership, Deployment & Maintenance

The app is yours — not licensed to you, not held on our platform. That's in the agreement, and the accounts are in your name from day one.

Start With Discovery →

You own the source

The full codebase lives in a repository under your account. Any competent developer can pick it up after us — no license fees, no lock-in.

You own the data and accounts

Your data sits in standard formats you can export any time, and the hosting, domain, database, and app-store developer accounts are registered to you — not to us. If we disappeared tomorrow, you'd lose nothing.

How updates ship

For web apps and PWAs, updates go live the moment we deploy them — every user gets the new version on their next visit. For app-store apps, each update passes through Apple or Google review first, so we batch changes and plan releases around that queue.

Maintenance plans are optional

Keep us on a monthly plan for updates, fixes, and small improvements — or take a documented hand-off and run it yourself. Apps need upkeep either way; we just make sure it's your choice who does it.

FAQ

Common Questions

For most businesses, a web app or progressive web app is the right answer. It works on every device, updates instantly, skips app-store review, and costs less to build and maintain. Native makes sense when you genuinely need it: heavy offline use, deep hardware access, or a presence in the app stores that your customers expect. We tell you which one fits during discovery, and we have no incentive to steer you toward the more expensive option.

Scope determines cost and timing. A focused web app with a few screens and one user role costs far less than a customer-facing app with accounts, notifications, and offline support. After discovery you get a written quote, so you know the number before we build. Third-party service costs — app-store developer fees, hosting, notification services — are separate when applicable, and they are billed by those providers, not marked up by us.

Typically days, sometimes weeks — and the timeline is controlled by Apple and Google, not by us or you. Reviews can also come back with change requests that add a round trip. This is one of the practical reasons we often recommend web apps and PWAs: updates go live the moment we ship them, with no review queue in between.

You do. The source code lives in a repository under your account, your data is stored in standard formats you can export, and the hosting, domain, and developer accounts are registered in your name. If you ever change developers, you take all of it with you.

To a degree, yes — and we are honest about the limits. Progressive web apps can cache screens and queue work while a crew is out of signal, then sync when the connection returns. Full offline operation with large data sets and conflict handling is harder and pushes toward native. If offline is critical to your work, say so early; it shapes the whole design.

Your choice. Some clients keep us on a monthly maintenance plan covering updates, fixes, and small improvements. Others take a documented hand-off and run it with their own people or another developer. For web apps we ship updates directly; for app-store apps, each update also passes through Apple or Google review.
