SECRET SUITE
The Subscription Killer
Cancel the subscriptions. Keep the software.
A growing collection of customizable, self-hostable applications designed to replace expensive recurring software subscriptions.
Up to $34,648.44 per year
Verified itemized estimate for a five-person business, built from each vendor's own published pricing (sources and review date below). Not every Secret Suite application is available yet — most are planned. Self-hosting still carries real infrastructure cost.

Transparent Methodology
How the Total Is Calculated
The $2,887.37/month figure is not a rounded marketing number — it is the sum of the itemized catalog below, using each vendor's own published pricing for a five-person business. The calculator and the hero use this exact same total by default.
Per-user plans
Tools priced per seat (Zoom, Slack, Notion, DocuSign, Zendesk, and similar) are modeled at 5 users, matching the five-person business assumption.
Flat and per-channel plans
Tools priced as a flat workspace, account, or per-channel subscription (Canva, Dropbox, Shopify, QuickBooks, Buffer, and similar) are counted once, regardless of team size.
Pricing sources
Every counted price links to the vendor's own current pricing page in the catalog data. Where a vendor only publishes an annual-billed rate, the monthly-equivalent figure is used and noted.
What's excluded
Taxes, promotional discounts, and invented enterprise pricing are excluded from every figure on this page. No price was selected to hit a predetermined total.
Open source still costs something
Self-hosting is not free. Hosting, storage, backups, email delivery, payment processing, third-party APIs, AI compute, and maintenance can still carry real operating costs.
Duplicate value reviewed and excluded
SecretHelp runs on the same infrastructure as SecretSupport (both are Chatwoot-based) and is excluded from every total to avoid double-counting the same subscription twice.
Kept separate — SecretSchedule vs. SecretBookings: general meeting scheduling (Calendly) versus service-business appointment booking with staff and payment handling (Square Appointments) are different paid products.
Kept separate — SecretMoney vs. SecretInvoice: general-ledger accounting (QuickBooks) versus dedicated invoicing and payment tracking (FreshBooks) are different paid products many teams run side by side.
Kept separate — SecretWiki vs. SecretKnowledge: internal team documentation versus customer-facing published help content (GitBook) are different use cases and different products.
Kept separate — SecretDrive vs. SecretVault: general file sync (Dropbox Plus) versus access-controlled, audit-logged sharing (Dropbox Business Advanced) is a materially different, separately priced feature tier.

Built on Open Foundations
Built on Open Foundations
Secret Suite products are redesigned and maintained by Secret Systems using established open-source foundations. Each application preserves the licensing notices, attribution and source-code obligations required by its underlying project.
Secret Systems is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the paid products displayed on this page. Product names and logos are used only to identify the services being compared.
Free software does not mean zero operating cost. Hosting, storage, backups, email delivery, payment processing, third-party APIs, AI compute, data services, maintenance and support may still have costs.
